Working out is what keeps your endorphins free flowing. It’s the simplest way to kick off those blues and love your body back, with all the hard work you’ve been putting in – Don’t let it rain on your parade.
Warning: you might even have some fun along the way!
1. Drink up:
A lack of hydration causes water retention, giving your skin a puffy look. Sip on at least 6-8 glasses of water a day to reduce this bloating, and add definition to your body. For those who do not like drinking water, rad-ify it by adding a slice of lemon or cucumber in the water to give it a natural flavour.
2. Cut down on carbs:
We love our grains too, but it’s only temporary. When your body can’t rely on carbohydrates for energy, that’s when it will start to burn fat. Stick to a low carb diet and add lean protein like chicken, fish, legumes eggs and vegetables and have six small meals a day, which will help you get shredded and is a great answer to the question relating to mysteries of digestion. You can also try different types of diets like the Dash Diet or the Intermittent Fasting diet plan.
3. Sleep off the weight:
To get keep that weight off, a speedy metabolism is needed. Getting at least 7-9 hours of shut-eye can help this along. Your body recuperates during sleep and this ensures food is processed as quickly and efficiently as possible. Check out our article on Juices for a Deep Sleep
4. Squat It:
Start in a squat with the chair a couple of feet to your left, with your hands in prayer position. Hinge your hips back and your torso forwards from the hips. Extend your arms overhead so that your ears are in line with your biceps. Pulse your arms, making small up and down movements. Do 20-30 pulses. Sculpt that bootay.
5. Tuck in your Tummy:

6. Interval Training:
A mix of cardio and body weight is always a good idea to gain muscle and lose fat, helping you tone up. Bringing your heart rate up and down helps burn more calories, without that much effort. Start with some indoor burpees followed by wide squats for 1 minute each and then take a 30-second break. Repeat this with 6 times and continue with different combinations.
7. Eat right:
If you want to keep the monsoon weight off, start cutting down on junk food. Eat extra helpings of green, leafy vegetables (make sure these are washed and cleaned properly) and good quality lean protein. Antioxidant juices can also help reduce bloating so try swapping your usual afternoon cup of coffee for a healthy green tea or a berry rich bottle of our favourite juice. Magnesium, found in spinach, bananas, nuts, seeds, fish and whole grains, will also help you achieve a flatter stomach and shredded abs. 8. Go on a Juice Cleanse:
A cold-pressed juice cleanse at intervals is always an excellent way to get rid of extra water and toxins in your body. You could do a one, two or three-day juice cleanse and reap the results.
